We believe in Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, and raised from the dead. Our authority is the Bible, the inerrant word of God and our guide to faith and practice.

The Bible teaches, Jesus Christ is both fully divine and fully human, the Son of the one God Who is manifest in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The triune God created the world and everything in it. He created human beings to know and enjoy Him, but they chose to disobey Him and thus brought sin into the world.

Yet, evil and self-seeking as humans became, God loved us. In the fullness of time God the Father sent His Son to be born on earth, with a human mother but no human father. This Son of God, Jesus the Christ, knew temptation but never sinned. Because He did not sin, He became the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people at all times when He died on the cross, crucified as a common criminal. He was buried, but three days later He rose from the dead and walked on the earth, being seen by many people, before being taken into heaven to be with His Father.

We who believe in Jesus, repent of our sins, and accept his sacrifice for us are cleansed from our sin by the blood that He shed. We live a new life, the life of Christ in us through His Spirit. We are saved not by our own works, nor through baptism, nor through membership in any church, but only through faith in Jesus. All who share that faith form the Church, the body of which Jesus Christ is the head.
