Scott Emery, Missionary Pastor

Scott EmeryScott Emery is a planting a missional communiy in the northern Onondaga County suburbs called The Church of the Common Table. He grew up in Liverpool and attended Faith Heritage in Syracuse. After high school, he went to Philadelphia Biblical University and finished a Bachelors in Biblical Studies. While there, God began to move him into the realm of church planting. During his senior year, he met his wife, Melanie, and they ministered together in an inner-city Philadelphia church plant.

After moving back in Syracuse, God called them to help establish a church here in the city of Syracuse while Scott finished his Masters in Theological Studies from Northeastern Seminary. During this time, God continued to call Scott's attention to the spiritual and physical needs in the northern suburbs. In response to God's faithfulness in their lives, Scott and Melanie are continuing to push forward with following God's mission in this region.

Scott currently works in the Liverpool School District as a Special Education Teaching Assistant and for Northeastern Seminary as an Admissions Recruiter. The Emery's have three daughters, Lily, Ava and India. They live in Phoenix, NY, where they are planting missional communities.  Overall Scott hopes to continue exploring God's story, hearing peoples' stories, and helping others see the two of them clearly.

Scott blogs at Creation/Community/Commission.
