Sunday Worship at St. Andrew's

AcolytesOur worship services are at 8:00 am (Rite I) and 10:30 am (Rite II) with Sunday School classes for all ages in between at 9:15 am.

Children are welcomed and cherished at St. Andrew's. Our philosophy is: better to have noisy children than no children. We have nursery care during Sunday School and the second service.

The style of the 8 am service leans traditional with a liturgy whose language is more akin to the King James Bible or 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the singing of classic hymns. The 10:30 am service has a more contemporary feel with a band that leads us in singing both hymns and more modern music. The sermon is the same at both services.

St. Andrew’s celebrates Holy Communion every Sunday with a traditional Anglican prayerbook liturgy that follows the church year. We print our own liturgical resources as well as utilize video projection. We have a number of talented musicians and enjoy the best of traditional hymnody and contemporary worship music.

For the 2011-2012 church calendar year St. Andrew's is using the lectionary from the 1892 American Book of Common Prayer in honor of those who founded our church 110 years ago. Here's a link to the Collects, Epistles and Gospels in the 1892 BCP.
